Western Counties Branch

The Western Counties Branch, which is the second Institution Branch in order of seniority (Lancashire & Cheshire Branch being the first), was founded in 1923 with a membership of 67. The Branch celebrated its Golden Jubilee in October 1973 and shares with the Yorkshire Branch the privilege of having four Past Chairmen who have become Presidents of the Institution. The present membership is 728 (including 98 Fellows).
